Since 2016, Aspira University has been organizing a free Croatian language course for South American expats. The cost of professors and translators is borne by the Split-Dalmatia County, and how important the course is for the descendants of our emigrants can be seen from the fact that this year, in 2022, there were over 300 enrolled. Although this is only a basic course lasting 30 lessons, its significance is primarily emotional due to the connection of the descendants of our emigrants with their roots. It often happens that the whole family sits in front of one screen, but the group in La Paz, Bolivia, could easily beat the record, because judging by the photo, there were at least 26 participants in each lesson. This is certainly an incentive for Aspira and our county to continue with this program.
