Joza Vrljicak was born in Buenos Aires in 1947.

After graduation, he studied languages and economics in Argentina and in Canada, where he earned a Master’s degree and worked as an economist.

After returning to Argentina, he worked in the profession as an IT scientist, when he created various models and large databases.

From 1995 to the present day, he has been the Editor-in-chief of the journal “Studia Croatica”, and since 2015 he has been at the Head of the editorial board together with Adriana Smajić.

On two occasions, he was the Vice-president of the Inter-Social Committee of Croatian Associations and Institutions in Argentina.

He was elected as a member of the Government Council for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia, by the Croatian community in Argentina, and held that position until 2017.

As an editor, he publishes “Studia Croatica” in print, via the Internet and various other electronic means. For two years, he has been working on digitizing the written heritage, archival and historical materials of Croats in Argentina with the support of the Central State Office for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia.

There are a total of more than 50,000 pages on the magazine’s website, which represents one of the largest Internet sites in the Croatian emigration.
