Peter Pecotić is an entrepreneur, campaigner, and emerging film maker, Australian born of Croatian/ Dalmatian decent whose father came from the island of Korcula and mother from Peljesac peninsula.

As an entrepreneur he founded a communications agency in Sydney specialising in business, cultural, and political communications which expanded into operations in China, Singapore and across the Indo-Pacific. For many years he was based in China and was on the Board of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

As a campaigner for over 25 years he’s been involved with State and Federal election campaigns in Australia along with various roles on campaigns in the United Kingdom.

As a film maker Peter’s fascinated with the human condition transcending across cultures and has embarked on making documentaries to explore these themes. Most recently the feature documentary Countryman/ or Zemljak/ Manu Waljji explores how Australian identity is informed by Croatian heritage and has been screened nationally both in Croatia and Australia.
