Sonja Palić is Chairperson and Co-Founder of the “AUS-NZ Croatian Women in Leadership”.
Founded in 2019, by Sonja Palić and Her Excellency Ambassador Betty Pavelich, AUS-NZ Croatian Women in Leadership (AUS-NZ CWL) began with a landmark Summit in Canberra that welcomed close to 150 women of Croatian heritage from across Australia and New Zealand. In July 2021, the organisation was formally registered as a not-for-profit and has since grown to a network of approximately 4,000 Croatian women.
AUS-NZ CWL unites women of Croatian heritage and association who are committed to empowering, connecting and inspiring one another through every stage of their careers. Our members span an extraordinary range of professions—entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, creatives, educators, engineers, healthcare professionals, athletes, technologists and more—proving there is no single path to leadership.
Sonja Palic was the first female Chairperson of the Sydney Hills Business Chamber (biggest business chamber in Sydney) in the Chamber’s 28-year history and served on the Board for over 5 years.
Sonja recently served on the Board as Director of the Mind Connections Foundation – a Not for Profit hoping to make a difference to people suffering from Mental Health issues.
Sonja was also on the Board Advisory Committee for ZAMBI wildlife foundation to help the welfare of exotic animal and is also the co-author of a book called “Think Big”, inspirational stories of other leaders and their success.
Sonja Palic is a Sydney based business owner and Co-Owner of Entrax Commercial Interior Fitouts with her husband. Together they have worked in the Building and Construction Industry specialising in commercial interior fitouts for over 20 years.
Sonja was named “Baulkham Hills Woman of the Year 2021” for all her community contribution and work that she does.
