My name is Pablo Fernando Rendich. I was born in the municipality of Merlo, in the Province of Buenos Aires, about 35 kilometers from the Federal Capital.

During my teenage years, I completed high school. I also worked as a DJ and radio operator, and I took my first language course focused on journalistic writing.

After my military service and some short-term jobs, I devoted seven years to the study of journalism and communications.

This profession captured me in a truly professional way—with passion, dedication, and discipline. Its main tools—language, sociological analysis, and information processing—deeply engaged me. I’ve always prioritized the pursuit of truth, guided by technical professionalism and intellectual honesty.

I worked in cable and regional TV channels, local radio stations, print media, and eventually at one of Argentina’s most important television networks: América 2 and its news signal, A24.

I was on screen consistently for 17 years—as a field reporter, special correspondent, live broadcaster, analyst, and host. Journalism is a profession I love deeply.

Over time, I also became passionate about related disciplines, especially general communication and, more specifically, political, institutional, and governmental communication as well as electoral campaign strategy. I directed my professional life toward playing an active role in strengthening democracy in my country.

I worked as a consultant on several political campaigns in Merlo. Later, I took on legislative responsibilities as a Councilman and President of the local legislative body, the Honorable City Council.

After eight years in that role, I returned to consulting and currently serve as Head of Communications for Grupo Provincia (Bank of the Province of Buenos Aires).

I am 56 years old and the father of four daughters: Valentina (24), Josefina (16), and twins Elena and Isabela (6). I have three siblings: Ernesto, Guillermo, and Ana María.

My maternal grandparents were of Spanish descent.

My father, Ernesto Rendich, was a prominent lawyer and politician in Buenos Aires Province from the 1950s to the 1980s, serving as Mayor and Legislator. He was the son of Petar Rendić, who, as part of the Croatian emigration, lived in Chile for a time where he married Genoveva Silva. They later moved to Argentina, where they lived until their passing. Petar was an architect by profession, deeply passionate about the arts—just like his brothers and cousins, including the renowned Croatian sculptor Ivan Rendić.

Because of the origin of my surname, and out of love and respect for my family’s roots, I proudly consider myself a true Croatian—one of the many who were born, in spirit if not in fact, along the Dalmatian coast.
