Expert Meeting on the Heritage Institution as a Treasure Caves was held on Friday, December the 1st, 2023 in the Archbishop’s Castle in Kaštel Sućurac. The gathering was organized by the City Library of Kaštela with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Kaštela.
The expert Meeting focuses on the preservation of cultural heritage in heritage institutions (libraries, museums and archives). The primary goal of the Meeting is the gathering of employees of heritage institutions, libraries, museums and archives, which deal with native collections and the preservation of cultural heritage, as well as activities and publishing on this topic, but also other institutions, for example educational institutions, associations and national parks or public institutions for nature protection for the purpose of valorising and presenting neglected local heritage.
The meeting was attended by lecturers from Croatian heritage institutions (libraries, museums and archives), as well as lecturers from public and private institutions, institutes and associations dealing with the preservation of cultural heritage and the collection of material for the native collection and publishing, as well as the organization of various events whose is the main goal of increasing the visibility of the native collection in the public.
